FSC certification allows you to buy furniture with confidence that you are not contributing to global forest destruction.
FSC certified products are managed to ensure long term timber supplies while protecting the environment and the lives of forest-dependent peoples.
A system of chain of custody certification traces forest products through the supply chain to the end customer.
The documentation accompanying our FSC certified products will state our FSC Chain of Custody certification code TT-COC-002847, which gives you the assurance that the products genuinely originate from FSC certified forests which have been responsibly managed to the highest environmental and social standards, or are made from FSC certified recycled materials.
We provide our furniture in a range of FSC certified timbers; FSC Recycled 100% Teak, FSC Pure Oak and FSC Pure Sweet Chestnut.
“FSC Pure” and “FSC Recycled 100%” means the FSC certified material in the product has not been mixed with any non-FSC certified material. Teak was used for many hundreds of years as the main structural component of many grand buildings in Thailand and Indonesia and when these buildings are torn down, we reuse the beams, floorboards and other wooden components to produce our beautiful furniture. This gives one of the most eco-friendly options for hardwood furniture as trees have not been felled for it’s sourcing.
